We have arranged for a discounted group rate at a nearby hotel, the Hyatt Place Medford Square, that is valid if booked before February 16, 2018. If you receive funding support from the Automorphic Forms Workshop, please contact the organizers to have us book a room for you. There are a limited number of rooms available to participants with outside funding.
The Hyatt Place is 1.3 miles from campus. For participants who would rather not walk that distance, the hotel runs a shuttle service for its guests. In the event of inclement weather, we will look into additional shuttle services.
Other hotel options for participants with outside support include:
- The Morrison House and Davis Square Inn: Bed and breakfasts, walking distance from Tufts (about half a mile).
- Porter Square Hotel: A walkable mile and a half from Tufts, well served by the 96 bus line (which stops on campus). By the Porter Square red line station, one stop away from Davis Square.
- AC Hotel by Marriott: By the Alewife red line station, one stop from Davis Square.
- Politics aside, there are also many Airbnb's available in the Davis Square area of Somerville, MA, that would be a comfortable walk to campus.
Tufts University is 8 miles from Boston Logan International Airport
(airport code BOS).
The most straightforward way to get to Tufts or the hotel from the airport is to take a cab or taxi. Boston is also well-served by public transit, information about which will be available shortly.
