Hotels

  • We have reserved a block of rooms at the Cambria Suites at 1320 Center Avenue for $125 per night. You can call and let them know you are with the Automorphic Forms Workshop. (412)381-6687.
  • There may be cheaper hotel or Airbnb options downtown or in surrounding neighborhoods. The public buses from SouthSide, Oakland, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, and East Liberty are very reliable and cost $2.75 each way and many of the hotels offer free shuttle buses. Alternatively, you can get to Duquesne from any of these neighborhoods for approximately $10 using Uber or Lyft.
  • If you would like to offset your costs by sharing a hotel room and you are in need of a roomate, please email the organizers and we can help facilitate this.

Air Travel

  • The nearest airport to Duquesne University is the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT).
  • The most affordable option to get to campus from the airport is the 28X public bus for $2.75 each way (more information here). You should have exact change or buy a ConnectCard at the ticket machine as you exit the airport.
  • The fastest option to get to campus and downtown is SuperShuttle, Uber or Lyft all of which cost around $28.

Parking

  • If you are driving to the conference and staying at the Cambria Suites, the best option is to park at the hotel ($18 per night). From there the walk to College Hall is about 0.6 miles.
  • If you are planning to drive to campus you can park in the Forbes Avenue Garage ($12 per day), but be aware that no overnight parking is permitted on campus.

Local Travel

  • Most parts of Pittsburgh are easily accessible by the Port Authority of Allegheny County public bus system. Each ride costs $2.75 and you should have exact change or buy a ConnectCard at the ticket machine as you exit the airport.
  • Nearly all parts of the city can be reached by Uber or Lyft for less than $12.
  • The Pittsburgh public transit system has two inclines!

Visas

  • If you need a letter in order to obtain a visa to attend the conference, please contact the organizers.
